This spring let’s do the Umbrella Dance with funky new moves from all over to world to
Shiamak’s new release, “Shabop” and dance without worry to celebrate life! The Shiamak Vancouver Performance Team will have you doing the moves on your own within an hour!
The 2013 festivities also benefit from a hearty dose of Vancouver multiculturalism. International celebrity Shiamak Davar — known for revolutionizing Bollywood dance with a confluence of East-meets-West — has choreographed the popular World Umbrella Dance flash mob, taking place April 13 on the Vancouver Art Gallery steps. VanDusen Garden Shop – 5251 Oak Street, Mon-Fri between 10am-4pm. Free 15 minute parking at the roundabout entrance off Oak Street (north of 37th Ave.)
The Urban Tea Merchant – 1070 W Georgia Street, 7 days a week between 10am-7pm
World Umbrella Dance Rehearsal Series Includes an umbrella and unlimited rehearsals! $24.99 plus tax and handling (can also be paid in cash at rehearsals).
