Submitted by on April 10, 2013 – 8:07 amNo Comment | 3,987 views

Greetings from the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA)!

We are seeking volunteers of International Pharmacy Graduates (IPGs) to assist with the testing phase of tools and information which as been developed for the Pharmacists’ Gateway Canada for International Pharmacy Graduates.

The Gateway is being developed to provide useful and up-to-date information – in simple and easy-to-understand language – as well as on-line self-assessment tools to help IPGs determine their readiness for the licensure process. Foreign-trained candidates who feel ready to apply for licensure in Canada will also enrol in the Gateway, and begin the application process on the path to licensure.

It is important that internationally trained pharmacists who are considering applying for a license to practice in Canada can review our website content, format and structure. This will help us to make sure that:

· the information is useful;

· messages are clear and precise;

· the language is easy to understand;

· the presentation of information is logical and user-friendly;

· the design is visually appealing.

This feedback will help also us to evaluate and refine the two (2) self-assessment tools developed to help IPGs understand the steps and requirements for obtaining a license in Canada. These self-assessments have been designed to allow candidates to assess their current knowledge and skills and set realistic expectations about such things as time and financial commitments.

Contact information is contained in the attached document.

Many thanks!
