Current Affairs Conversation Club at Cedar Cottage
Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House invites newcomers and long-term residents to join its Current Affairs Conversation Club. Led by an experienced facilitator, a resident of Cedar Cottage neighbourhood with many years of experience in community development and settlement services, this club provides a great opportunity for community building and raising awareness on the issues of concern or interest. Come to practice your conversational skills while learning about our city, other countries and discussing latest news.
By attending the Club you will:
- learn about latest news
- improve your social networks
- receive support in improving your conversation skills
- improve your confidence and presentation skills and
- attend CBC News building tour in September guided by CBC staff
Dates: Every second Saturday starting from July 20 (July 20, Aug 3, Aug 17, Aug 31, Sept 7, Sept 21)
