Please join us for an interactive workshop about the results of SPARC BC’s case study research on what successful Metro Vancouver employers are doing to create welcoming and inclusive workplaces for recent immigrants and other under-represented groups.

What will the participants learn? You will learn about promising local approaches to recruitment and hiring, maintaining a welcoming and inclusive work environment and leadership development.

Resources: A workshop toolkit featuring art by local photographers wraps up the lessons learned in a convenient package for attendees.

Presenter: Katie McCallum, MA, Researcher with SPARC BC, co-curated the Working World exhibit with Hanna Cho of the Museum of Vancouver. Katie’s background is in human geography with a focus on immigration and settlement experiences in rural BC. She has been conducting social research and analysis as well as community development and planning work in British Columbia for over six years.
