Footer_merged_01This congress which will take place from June 26th to 29th, 2014 is the first that Young SIETAR will be organizing in North America. After hosting 13 previous congresses in Europe, Egypt and Turkey, Young SIETAR is excited to be coming to Canada and to be partnering with SIETAR B.C. for this event.

The theme of the Congress is “Shaping Identity: Land People, Systems”. During the congress we hope to explore Identity and how the land, it’s changing climate and our relationship to it as indigenous peoples, colonisers and settlers or as recent immigrants shapes that identity. Whilst using the locality of Vancouver & Sts’ailes, British Columbia and Canada as a starting point we hope to expand the dialogue to a wider world.
