Employer & Newcomer Employment Dialogue by SFU-TD Engagement Centre
Simon Fraser University’s Surrey campus will be hosting the first of three evening dialogues on March 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in room 5140. Newcomers to Canada will take a look at the best practices and opportunities for both employers and job seekers.
Speakers include certified career development practitioner Afshan Bsaria, community health worker Clementine Iweh, employment specialist Matthew Pape and community services assistant Yousef Nasimi from the City of Surrey, and recent immigrant Drastant Mehta, who can share his knowledge and experience to help others settle to their life in Canada.
The event is part of the Employment Dialogue Series, jointly presented by the SFU Surrey – TD Community Engagement Centre, WorkBC, Surrey Libraries and the City of Surrey. The next dialogues will take place on April 14 and May 5.
